The Buzz in the City Art Trail is now underway and the bees are looking fantastic! Well done to the team at Farleigh Hospice for organising such a fantastic event and for such a great and important cause.
My bee sculpture has been sponsored by the Museum of Chelmsford and is hiding in the beautiful grounds of Oaklands Park. They are also currently displaying my Bees at the Museum print, which is part of their collection. It was made in collaboration with Tyrrells School in 2019 and serendipitously shows two bees in the park - I feel like I predicted the future!
“Lost in the Flowers” is illustrates a personal story in my local area. I’d moved into the warren of Flower Roads area of Chelmsford with my then new baby and whilst out walking I got lost! Without GPS on my phone then, it took me ages to find my way back to our new home. And it was a time when I was yet to feel at home in my new City.
You can enjoy the Buzz in the City Art Trail with either a map from the Full Circle store or download the interactive App, until 9th September when the Bee Sculpture auction goes live.
One last thing, whilst visiting the Museum of Chelmsford, you can also find my Chelmsford City Map image as a jigsaw as part of the Shifting Perspectives Exhibition. All this makes for a great family day out!
