This bay tree decorating a new ceramic pot is one my Dad have to me around 20 years ago, as a small cutting. It’s followed me around and now lives in my garden in Chelmsford. It even houses a sparrows nest this summer! I’m adding this to my growing Chelmsford Tales collection…
I’ve been enjoying learning how to make ceramic potts of late over at the fabulous Makerspace in Colchester. These are my first attempts and part of the collection #ChelmsfordTales are entitled “3ft People Festival” and “Fling”.

Had fun with this challenging sketch at Chelmsford’s Drink and Draw evening. Tricky drawing all the other moving sketchers from my elevated viewpoint!

OO, what’s she seen?
Not a bad evening’s sketching considering I forgot my glasses and we were drawing in a dimly lit pub! Chelmsford’s Drink and Draw group meets monthly in a local pub, organised by Lynn Ex, all welcome.
I've added the next installment of the Just Imagine Illustrators Group Travelling Storyboard book. Linking the woods, the fox, the bears, and now the mouse on their travels. Where will the story take us next? On to illustrator Hayley Wells to continue with the thread...
I’m delighted to share my illustration “The Pearlies” which has been accepted for the Poster Prize for Illustration exhibition at the London Transport Museum from this coming February. Organised by the Association of Illustrators, illustrators were invited to create an image for a London Underground poster based on the theme of London Stories.
